MoneyGram has strengthened its ties with Solana by launching a new integration that enables developers to use its established payments infrastructure for Solana applications.

The integration allows developers to enable cash deposits in more than 25 countries and cash withdrawals across over 170 countries and territories, while MoneyGram handles identity verification, compliance, settlement, and fiat payouts.

MoneyGram's move is significant because of its unusual history in blockchain payments. The company was once a prominent partner with Ripple, later became a major participant in Stellar's stablecoin ecosystem, and now expanding its infrastructure onto Solana.
