MoneyGram is expanding its partnership with Solana, connecting developers to nearly half a million retail locations worldwide. This move aims to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the digital asset economy.

According to MoneyGram CEO Anthony Soohoo, the integration will give developers building on Solana access to MoneyGram's physical cash network, allowing them to build applications that enable users to move between digital assets and cash.

The partnership became operational on August 11, when MoneyGram Ramps went live on Solana. This service provides a single API for integrating cash-to-crypto and crypto-to-cash functionality into wallets, exchanges, and fintech applications.

MoneyGram's physical network now supports cash deposits in over 25 countries and cash withdrawals across 170-plus countries and territories. Soohoo stated that the integration is designed to connect Solana's digital economy with MoneyGram's physical cash network, enabling developers to build applications that let users move between digital assets and cash.
