MoneyGram has launched its first stablecoin-backed Visa card in Colombia. This new product is designed for eligible customers and allows them to hold a USDC balance, which can be spent online or in stores within the country.

The digital MoneyGram Card supports spending USDC, mobile wallets, and cash pick-ups in local currency. Customers can also convert funds into local currency through MoneyGram's retail network.

MoneyGram plans to support MGUSD after launching the USDC-backed card. The company has not identified which countries are next for this product, but it aims to launch in additional global markets during the coming months.
