MoneyGram Debuts Stablecoin Card in Colombia with Visa
MoneyGram has launched a Visa stablecoin card in Colombia, allowing eligible customers to access dollar-linked balances and make payments through the Visa network.
The virtual MoneyGram Card can be applied for within the MoneyGram app and managed through the mobile application. Customers can hold stable-dollar balances and spend them wherever Visa is accepted.
Rain provides the card infrastructure connecting stablecoin balances with the Visa payment network, while Crossmint handles wallet technology and Stellar supports blockchain transactions.
MoneyGram has not disclosed the pricing structure or fees for its Colombian product, but plans to introduce a physical version of the card in late 2026, featuring ATM withdrawals and in-person payments.
