MoneyGram has joined forces with Stellar to launch a new USDC Visa card in Colombia. The company, along with fintech firm Rain and crypto infrastructure provider Crossmint, is targeting everyday payments in Latin America.

The virtual card allows users to spend USDC at retailers while accessing mobile wallets for contactless payments. This product connects digital-dollar balances with conventional retail payments without requiring users to withdraw cash first.

At checkout, the system converts USDC into Colombian pesos automatically for settlement. Stellar provides the blockchain infrastructure for fast transactions, and Crossmint handles wallet custody for the service.
