MoneyGram Rolls Out Stellar-Powered Visa Stablecoin Card in Colombia
MoneyGram has launched a new Visa stablecoin card in Colombia, powered by Stellar and backed by USDC. The card allows users to spend online, in physical stores, and across borders, and can be loaded into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for tap-to-pay purchases.
The product is integrated within MoneyGram's mobile application, allowing users to manage their balance from the app and link the digital card to their preferred payment methods. The card's processing is executed through Stellar, according to the report.
MoneyGram plans to ship a physical card later in 2026, but for now, the digital card is available for use. Users can also manage their balance from the MoneyGram app and link the digital card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for everyday spending.
