MoneyGram Unveils Colombia-USDC Visa Card with Stellar Partnership
MoneyGram has launched a new USDC Visa card in Colombia in partnership with fintech firm Rain and crypto infrastructure provider Crossmint. The virtual card allows users to spend their USDC balances at retailers while also accessing mobile wallets for contactless payments.
The card connects digital-dollar balances with conventional retail payments, eliminating the need for users to withdraw cash first. This seamless integration enables users to make everyday purchases using their USDC funds.
USDC converts automatically at checkout, making it a convenient option for users who prefer to hold digital dollars for their transactions. The new card is currently available through MoneyGram's app and marks the company's entry into the stablecoin card market in Latin America.
