MoneyGram has launched its first stablecoin-backed Visa card in Colombia. The digital card allows users to hold and spend USDC for everyday purchases, bridging the gap between traditional payment systems and digital assets.

The new card uses MoneyGram's global payments network and brings a stable-dollar balance, everyday spending, and cash access into one place, as CEO Anthony Soohoo stated. Initially, the card will have support for the USDC stablecoin, with plans to add support for MGUSD in the future.

MoneyGram is expanding its services beyond traditional fiat currencies, addressing growing demand for stable tokens. The company aims to expand the Visa card service to other Latin American markets.
