MoneyGram Unveils USDC Stablecoin Visa Card for Global Spend
MoneyGram has launched a USDC stablecoin Visa card that allows customers to hold digital balances and spend them anywhere Visa is accepted.
The card will initially be available in Colombia, with expansion to other markets planned for later this year.
Users can apply through the MoneyGram app and add the card to supported mobile wallets for online or in-store purchases.
Clients will also be able to send funds to themselves and collect the equivalent amount in local currency at MoneyGram locations.
The card uses Circle's USDC stablecoin, with support for MoneyGram's own MGUSD token expected to follow later this year.
