MoneyGram has launched a new Visa card in Colombia, powered by Stellar and designed for everyday payments. The card allows users to spend USDC at retailers while accessing mobile wallets for contactless payments.

The virtual card connects digital-dollar balances with conventional retail payments without requiring users to withdraw cash first. At checkout, the system converts USDC into Colombian pesos automatically for settlement, thanks to Stellar's blockchain infrastructure and Crossmint's wallet custody service.

MoneyGram plans to expand this product across Latin America and introduce physical cards by the end of 2026, which will support ATM withdrawals.
