Moody's Live Ratings Go Live on Solana
Moody's Ratings has made history by embedding its live ratings onto Solana (SOL), marking the first time such machine-readable risk data is available on a public blockchain. This move follows a successful trial in June 2025 and builds upon earlier work with Canton Network, a permissioned chain limited to vetted members.
The Token Integration Engine (TIE) was deployed onto Solana's mainnet on June 17 through Alphaledger, a tokenization platform for institutional fixed-income assets. The engine writes ratings straight into the token metadata of tokenized bonds, allowing credit signals to move with the asset itself.
Solana's readiness for institutional finance is demonstrated by its growing tokenized asset base, which has surpassed $2 billion. Major financial institutions such as Western Union, BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and Apollo are building on the chain.
