Moonbeam Tackles Multi-Agent AI Economy Payment Challenges
Moonbeam Protocol is gearing up to tackle the challenges of coordinating multi-agent AI economy on its smart contract platform. As autonomous AI agents take on increasingly complex tasks, the question arises: how to fairly reward value when it's created jointly.
The Moonbeam team is working out the logistics of collaborative tasks involving multiple agents and has framed agent-to-agent payment as the core infrastructure for the emerging machine economy. This includes ERC-20, stablecoin rails, cross-chain messaging via XCM, and Moonbeam Routed Liquidity.
The importance of fair settlement in Web3 is underscored by the potential for badly designed escrow services to become a form of liability, with counterparty risk arising from them. Continuous micropayments could also increase transaction volume and compliance issues drastically, attracting the attention of stablecoin emitters like Circle and Tether.
