MoonPay Expands US Crypto Access with Discover Network Integration
MoonPay has expanded its cryptocurrency payment options by adding Discover Network support for users across the United States. This integration allows eligible Discover cardholders to buy and sell thousands of supported digital assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), BNB, XRP, Solana (SOL), TRON (TRX), Hyperliquid (HYPE), and Zcash (ZEC).
MoonPay now supports the Discover payment rail, but card availability still depends on individual issuing banks. While MoonPay has expanded its payment options to remove barriers for users, banks retain authority over whether their customers can complete cryptocurrency purchases using specific cards.
The company's goal remains enabling customers to purchase digital assets using familiar payment methods, as stated by Richard Harrison, MoonPay's Vice President of Banking and Payments Partnerships. This addition also gives businesses integrating MoonPay's payment infrastructure immediate access to Discover Network support without requiring additional technical development.
