MoonPay Introduces AI-Powered Payment Vault with ChatGPT and Claude Integration

MoonPay has introduced its new AI payment vault called MoonPay PayBox. This innovative solution allows users to connect OpenAI's ChatGPT and Anthropic's Claude to make payments directly from a conversation.

The platform combines crypto wallets and payment cards in a non-custodial vault, connecting directly to ChatGPT or Claude through a custom connector. Once connected, the AI assistant can prepare transactions such as booking flights, making restaurant reservations, and shopping online.

Users must approve each payment with a passkey before funds are transferred, although they can also enable an autonomous mode that allows transactions within limits they define.
