MoonPay has secured an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from the Dutch Central Bank, allowing it to issue regulated euro-denominated stablecoins across Europe.

The approval also enables MoonPay to offer payment accounts and related services, giving the company a stronger position in Europe's growing stablecoin market.

MoonPay has been building its presence in Europe and already holds a MiCA Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorization from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets.

The new EMI license adds regulated payment and electronic-money capabilities to MoonPay's existing crypto framework, giving it more control over the connection between traditional money and digital assets.
