Moonpay Unveils AI Payment Vault Securing Billions in Assets

Moonpay has launched an AI payment vault that connects to popular AI models Claude and ChatGPT. The PayBox system allows users to trade tokens, book travel, and move money without handing over control of their funds.

The vault is built on Sodot's infrastructure, which secures $50 billion in assets across its Moonpay backend. Moonpay plans to add DeFi swaps and perpetual futures trading for AI agents next.

The system uses a custom connector that enables users to type requests in plain language, such as moving $100 into PYUSD or swapping tokens for SOL. The AI prepares the transaction, but a human must approve it with a passkey before the money is moved.
