MoonPay Unveils PayBox for Seamless AI-Powered Transactions

MoonPay has launched PayBox, a payment vault that enables AI assistants to complete transactions directly within popular chat interfaces. The service allows users to manage digital assets and pay for online services without leaving the chat interface.

PayBox supports Solana and EVM-compatible networks, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Hyperliquid, Tempo, and Robinhood Chain. Users can connect their payment cards and crypto wallets through a custom connector, which stores both types of accounts securely using MPC technology and trusted execution environments.

The platform offers two permission modes: 'Always Ask,' where every payment requires manual approval, and 'Autonomous,' where AI can perform transactions within limits defined by the user. All permissions can be changed or revoked at any time.
