MoonPay's PayBox Revolutionizes AI-Powered Payments with Secure Vault Integration

MoonPay has launched PayBox, a payment vault that integrates with AI agents Claude and ChatGPT. This new product allows users to complete payments and fund transfers through an artificial intelligence agent, eliminating the need for separate browsers and payment services.

The PayBox repository stores both cryptocurrency wallets and payment cards together, enabling users to handle token swaps, cross-chain bridging, and fund transfers to decentralized finance protocols such as Aave. The supported networks include Solana, Ethereum, and 7 Ethereum-compatible chains, as well as the open payments protocol x402.

MoonPay's CEO Ivan Soto-Wright emphasized that the core of PayBox is securing both convenience and control for users. He stated, 'Cards hid cash, and phones hid cards,' adding, 'Now it is an era where money disappears into conversation.'

The security structure combines multi-party computation and trusted execution environments to protect user funds and credentials. No single entity can access the full key or sign on its own, ensuring that neither MoonPay nor AI agents can unilaterally access user funds.
