Beijing-based Moonshot has submitted confidential paperwork to list on Hong Kong's stock market, aiming to raise $3 billion in capital. The company is valued at a staggering $50 billion after recent funding rounds.

Moonshot specializes in developing large language models, with its Kimi K3 model boasting 2.8 trillion parameters, making it the largest open-weight AI model globally. The firm has already experienced significant market traction since its introduction in July.

The company is currently in talks with tech giants Microsoft, Amazon, and Google to establish revenue-sharing frameworks that would enable these U.S. cloud computing platforms to host Moonshot's Kimi K3 model.

However, Moonshot faces scrutiny from U.S. authorities over allegations it used prohibited Nvidia processors and extracted technical capabilities from Anthropic's AI models through distillation methods.
