Morgan Stanley Discloses New Holdings in XRP Through ETFs Amid Growing Institutional Interest
Morgan Stanley has disclosed new holdings in XRP through ETFs, marking a notable development in institutional interest in crypto assets.
The investment bank revealed it held 6,715 shares in the Franklin XRP ETF (XRPZ), as well as small holdings of 255 shares in the REX-Osprey XRP ETF and 67 shares in the Bitwise XRP ETF.
This comes after Morgan Stanley announced Ethereum and Solana ETFs and sparked speculation about a potential XRP ETF. Despite the low holding compared to its massive investments in crypto firms, Bitcoin, and Ethereum ETFs, this marks an expansion into deeper crypto involvement by Morgan Stanley.
In addition, Morgan Stanley disclosed 50,540 shares held in Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings’ SPAC Armada Acquisition Corp II, mirroring a day after JPMorgan Chase revealed holdings in Bitwise XRP ETF and Grayscale XRP ETF, as well as Evernorth Holdings’ SPAC.
