Morgan Stanley Discloses XRP ETF and SPAC Holdings in Latest 13F Filing
Morgan Stanley's latest 13F filing has sparked interest in the crypto community due to its reported positions in XRP ETFs and a SPAC. The filing, which covers Q2 2026 and was submitted on August 13, shows Morgan Stanley holding shares in five different XRP ETFs, including Franklin XRP ETF, REX-Osprey XRP ETF, Bitwise XRP ETF, Volatility Shares XRP ETF, and Grayscale XRP ETF. However, the positions are relatively small, with a total of 7,037 shares across the three products.
The same filing also disclosed a larger position in Armada Acquisition Corp. II (NASDAQ:AACI), a SPAC that is pursuing a business combination with an XRP-focused digital-asset treasury called Evernorth Holdings. Morgan Stanley reported holding 50,540 shares of AACI, but the economics of this position depend on the outcome of the deal and the post-combination strategy.
The scale context is important to note, as Morgan Stanley's 13F filing spans 24 other managers, 45,900 securities entries, and a reported value of $1.89 trillion. The XRP-linked line items are a rounding error at this level.
