Morgan Stanley Diversifies Crypto Playbook Amid Bitcoin ETF Outflows
Morgan Stanley has launched two new exchange-traded products for Ethereum and Solana on NYSE Arca, following four consecutive days of net outflows from Bitcoin ETFs. The outflow figure stands at $49.75 million, with institutional investors repositioning their portfolios.
The new funds, Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Solana Trust (MSOL), charge a 0.14% expense ratio, the lowest on the market. This low fee structure is designed to attract investors seeking to diversify their portfolios with altcoin exposure through regulated vehicles.
Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust (MSBT) had already accumulated more than $381 million in assets under management by July 16. The firm plans to pass staking rewards directly to investors, offering an income-generating crypto product that aligns with the broader industry trend of clients seeking steady returns from long-term digital asset holdings.
