Morgan Stanley Enters Solana and Ethereum Fund Market with New ETPs
Morgan Stanley Investment Management has expanded its digital asset lineup by launching exchange-traded products (ETPs) tracking Ethereum and Solana. The Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (MSOL) began trading on the NYSE Arca under their respective tickers, offering exposure to Ether and SOL.
Both ETPs charge a 0.14% annual management fee, which is among the lowest in the US crypto exchange-traded product market. They also include staking, allowing investors to earn blockchain rewards by committing tokens to help validate transactions and secure proof-of-stake networks.
The launch follows the completion of the funds' registration and listing process with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Morgan Stanley becomes the first US bank-affiliated asset manager to issue Ethereum and Solana funds, providing a regulated route for US investors to gain crypto exposure through taxable brokerage and eligible investment accounts.
