Morgan Stanley Expands Crypto Offerings Beyond Bitcoin

Morgan Stanley has expanded its digital asset suite beyond Bitcoin, launching two new exchange-traded products that track Ethereum and Solana. The firm's Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (MSOL) began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Arca. This move reflects growing institutional interest in crypto investment products beyond Bitcoin.

The launches follow Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust (MSBT), which gathered more than $381 million in assets under management, providing institutional validation for the Ethereum and Solana expansions. Bank of New York Mellon and Coinbase Custody are serving as trustees for these new trusts.

Morgan Stanley's venture into Ethereum and Solana ETPs shows a major expansion of bank-affiliated crypto product offerings beyond Bitcoin. This move could give Morgan Stanley's wealth management network direct access to Ethereum and Solana exposure.
