Morgan Stanley Expands Crypto Offerings with Ethereum and Solana ETPs
Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) has expanded its exchange-traded product (ETP) offerings with the launch of Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust. These two new ETPs will track the performance of ether and SOL, respectively, the native digital assets of the Ethereum and Solana blockchain networks.
The launch of these ETPs reflects the growth of MSIM's ETP suite and its commitment to developing investment solutions that meet investor demand. As Ally Wallace, Global Head of ETFs for Morgan Stanley Investment Management, noted, 'The addition of MSSE and MSOL reflects the natural evolution of our product suite, which seeks to provide simplified access to digital assets through the ETP wrapper.'
The Ethereum Trust (NYSE Arca: MSSE) will seek to track the performance of ether as measured by the CoinDesk Ether Benchmark 4PM NY Settlement Rate. The Solana Trust (NYSE Arca: MSOL) will seek to track the performance of SOL as measured by the CoinDesk Solana Benchmark 4PM NY Settlement Rate.
The launch of these ETPs follows the introduction of Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust in earlier this year, which has seen over $381 million in assets under management through July 16. MSIM's full suite of ETF and ETP products has grown to more than $14 billion in assets under management across 22 products.
Morgan Stanley Investment Management emphasizes that investing in digital assets involves risk and highlights the importance of understanding these risks, including possible loss of principal.
