Morgan Stanley Expands Crypto Portfolio with Ethereum and Solana ETFs
Morgan Stanley, one of the largest investment banks in the US, has taken another step into the cryptocurrency market by launching two new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) focused on Ethereum and Solana. The company's investment management arm, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, announced the launch of these ETFs, which will track the price movements of Ethereum and Solana. This move comes as a response to growing demand from investors for cryptocurrency investment products.
The two new ETFs, Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (MSOL), have started trading on the New York Stock Exchange Arca (NYSE Arca). The MSSE and MSOL track the price movements of Ethereum and Solana, respectively. This is a significant development as it marks Morgan Stanley's expansion into cryptocurrency investment products.
Morgan Stanley has stated that these new ETFs are part of an effort to expand its product portfolio to meet investor demand. Notably, these ETFs offer staking support, which allows investors to earn additional returns by staking a certain portion of their Ethereum and Solana assets. The company has emphasized that it will not retain any portion of the rewards earned by either ETF.
