Morgan Stanley Expands Digital Asset Lineup with Ether and Solana ETPs
Morgan Stanley has expanded its digital asset lineup by launching two new exchange-traded products (ETPs), tracking ether and Solana prices on NYSE Arca exchanges. The Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust, MSSE, and the Morgan Stanley Solana Trust, MSOL, carry a 0.14% expense ratio, matching that of the firm's existing bitcoin trust.
The new ETPs will stake holdings, passing all rewards to investors, not the firm. This structure aligns with Morgan Stanley's focus on client interests and its commitment to governance standards. The launch adds staking capabilities to the firm's growing ETP suite, which now spans 22 products worth over $14 billion.
According to Ally Wallace, Global Head of ETFs for Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the company has built a diversified suite of ETFs and ETPs that have attracted significant client interest. The new launches are part of the product line's natural evolution, aiming to provide solutions while adhering to established institutional oversight practices.
