Morgan Stanley Expands Digital Asset Offerings with New Ether and SOL ETPs
Morgan Stanley Investment Management has expanded its exchange-traded products (ETPs) lineup by launching two new funds that track ether and SOL, the native digital assets of Ethereum and Solana blockchain networks. The Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (NYSE Arca: MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (NYSE Arca: MSOL) will offer investors a way to access these digital assets through the ETP wrapper.
The launches reflect the growth of MSIM's ETP suite, which now exceeds $14 billion in assets under management. The addition of these new funds underscores the firm's commitment to developing investment solutions that meet investor demand for digital assets. Each ETP has an expense ratio of 0.14%, making them competitively priced compared to other similar products.
Amy Oldenburg, Head of Digital Asset Strategy at Morgan Stanley, emphasized the growing importance of digital assets in diversified investment portfolios: 'Digital assets are becoming an increasingly important component of diversified investment portfolios.' The ETPs will stake a portion of their respective ether or SOL holdings to earn staking rewards.
