Morgan Stanley Launches Ethereum and Solana Spot Crypto ETFs
Morgan Stanley has launched two new spot crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for Ethereum and Solana, following its Bitcoin ETF launch in April. These new funds offer a low 0.14% expense ratio, making them more attractive to investors.
The spot crypto ETFs allow investors to gain exposure to the underlying cryptocurrency without directly buying it through an exchange or broker. This is particularly beneficial for those investing in tax-advantaged retirement accounts, such as IRAs or Roth IRAs.
Morgan Stanley's new Ethereum and Solana ETFs have low fees compared to the competition, with 95% of staking rewards expected to pass through to shareholders. The staking providers take a 5% commission, but Morgan Stanley does not retain any of it.
