Morgan Stanley Lifts Robinhood Rating to Overweight With $150 Price Target
Morgan Stanley has upgraded its rating for Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ: HOOD) to Overweight, citing additional growth drivers beyond traditional retail trading volume.
The investment bank set a new price target of $150 per share, representing a 43% upside potential compared to the previous close. This comes after Robinhood's stock accumulated a 21% gain in August 2026, with the company's decentralized network recording an acceleration in transactions at the end of that month.
The Robinhood Chain protocol tallied $874.8 million in volume during the August 30 session, driven by trading in meme assets and decentralized finance. Morgan Stanley analysts argue that the company's proprietary blockchain infrastructure could capture significant inflows if institutional adoption of decentralized finance consolidates.
