Morgan Stanley has added over $7 million to its Bitcoin holdings, but despite this influx of institutional capital, the price of Bitcoin closed lower for a second consecutive day.

The asset fell from around $82,000 to $78,000 before recovering slightly, and at press time, it was trading at $79,621, down 1.6% on the day.

This decline in price is accompanied by a decrease in trading volume of 18%, indicating slower market activity.

Despite this weakening momentum, institutional investors continue to accumulate Bitcoin, with Morgan Stanley's MSBT Bitcoin ETF withdrawing another 94.56 BTC from Coinbase Prime, valued at $7.54 million.
