Morgan Stanley's $50.6M BTC Buying Supports Price, But $82K Hurdle Remains
Morgan Stanley's recent accumulation of Bitcoin has strengthened the institutional demand narrative for the asset. The bank expanded its MSBT holdings by adding another 51.58 BTC, valued at around $4 million from Coinbase Prime.
This latest transaction brings the total amount of BTC held in the fund to 641.87, worth approximately $50.6 million. This persistent accumulation has enhanced the demand for Bitcoin as it consolidated after a rapid expansion.
The institutional demand story is further supported by positive ETF inflows. In the most recent reporting period, Bitcoin spot ETFs registered $6 million in daily total net inflows, equivalent to roughly 78.39 BTC. The cumulative net inflows have reached nearly $55.63 billion, representing around 695,820 BTC tokens.
The sustained negative netflows on exchanges have also limited the immediate supply pressure as institutional players continued accumulating Bitcoin. This trend could tighten the supply conditions further if the institutional demand remains positive.
