Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin ETF Surpasses $400M in Assets Amid Market Boom
Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) has attracted nearly $400 million in assets under management just months after its launch in April. The NYSE Arca-listed product, which is the first by a bank, brought in over $33 million on its debut day and has since seen investors pour in an additional $391 million.
This rapid growth is a testament to the increasing popularity of the product among investors. Many ETFs fail to reach this milestone within their entire lifespan, let alone in just one quarter. According to Eric Balchunas, senior Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst, the fund has been one of the most successful launches this year so far.
This week alone, investors have injected $15.7 million in fresh cash into the product, with American Bitcoin ETFs receiving a total of $274 million in new investment over the past seven days. However, not everyone is optimistic about the market's prospects. James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares, believes that there may be no significant upside potential from current levels.
