Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Fund Defies Market Trend with $5 Million Inflows
Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin fund remains an outlier in the market, defying $225 million in outflows across other major U.S. products on July 23. The MSBT fund recorded $5 million in inflows during this period.
This resilience sets Morgan Stanley apart from its competitors, including BlackRock, Fidelity, Bitwise, Ark Invest, and Franklin Templeton, which all experienced outflows on the same day.
The MSBT fund has now accumulated about $431 million in net inflows since its launch on April 8, despite the recent market reversal. Its low fees of 0.14% are lower than several competing products, including BlackRock's IBIT and Fidelity's FBTC, which charge 0.25%
The fund's stability during a period of widespread outflows is significant, as it suggests that investors do not treat all Bitcoin funds the same way.
