Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust Reaches $400 Million Milestone
Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust has attracted over $400 million in investments since April. The strong influx of capital is attributed to the trust's brand recognition, with about half coming from self-directed trades before advisor involvement.
The trust's trading platform, launched by E*TRADE in July, allows clients to trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana at a fee of 50 basis points. This move expands Morgan Stanley's market reach in digital assets and positions the company for future growth.
Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust boasts a sponsor fee of 0.14%, outperforming competitors BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust and Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust by 11 and 136 basis points, respectively. This demonstrates the trust's competitive pricing strategy in the marketplace.
