Morgan Stanley's BTC Accumulation Strengthens Institutional Demand
Morgan Stanley's ongoing accumulation of Bitcoin has contributed to the cryptocurrency's institutional demand narrative. The financial institution recently added 51.58 BTC, valued at around $4 million, to its MSBT Bitcoin ETF from Coinbase Prime.
This marks another instance of Morgan Stanley expanding its MSBT holdings, demonstrating persistent institutional demand for Bitcoin. The accumulation is particularly notable as it consists of several additions across the two-week period, rather than a single large transaction.
The positive net inflows into Bitcoin spot ETFs also remained strong during the most recent reporting period, with $6 million in daily total net inflows and cumulative net inflows reaching nearly $55.63 billion. This represents around 695,820 BTC tokens and suggests that institutional demand extends beyond Morgan Stanley's accumulation.
The negative exchange activity provided another supportive element, as Bitcoin Spot Netflows remained predominantly negative across the displayed period. The sustained negative netflows limited the immediate supply pressure as institutional players continued accumulating Bitcoin.
