Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin Trust has seen significant inflows since April, totaling over $400 million. The majority of this amount came before the sales team even recommended it to clients. Amy Oldenburg, head of digital asset strategy at Morgan Stanley, attributes much of this growth to brand recognition and self-directed trades.

In July, E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley launched its spot crypto platform, allowing eligible clients to buy, sell, and hold Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana at 50 basis points. The assets are held in a linked Zero Hash account, not with Morgan Stanley.

The list of three assets will continue to evolve, according to Oldenburg. She also mentioned that self-custody and transfers are on the roadmap for Morgan Stanley's digital asset offerings. However, she noted that adding new assets has been challenging due to market conditions.
