Morph Payments Brings Non-Custodial Stablecoin Settlements to Businesses
Morph, an Ethereum Layer-2 network incubated within Bitget, has launched Morph Payments, a non-custodial payments platform for businesses and freelancers. The tool allows users to accept, send, and manage stablecoin payments in USDC and USDT, with funds settling directly into their own wallet.
The platform's launch follows Morph's decision to split its architecture in two: Tachyon, a standalone chain for high-throughput trading, and the original Ethereum L2, which continues to handle payments and stablecoins. Renna Ba, Morph's Head of Ecosystem, said businesses will increasingly operate across multiple stablecoins like they already do with multiple currencies.
Morph Payments is positioned as an on-ramp for Morph's broader ecosystem, allowing businesses to route payments received into trading platforms and yield strategies built on the network. This move highlights the platform's non-custodial pitch, which gives businesses full control over their funds.
