Morph Unveils Non-Custodial Payment Platform for Businesses and Freelancers
Morph, an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling network for consumer payments, has launched Morph Payments, a non-custodial payment platform that allows businesses and freelancers to accept stablecoin payments directly into their own self-custodial wallets.
This new platform aims to solve the problems of slow, expensive, and unreliable international wire transfers, which often leave freelancers and online merchants with reduced earnings due to intermediary fees and bank holds.
Morph Payments enables vendors to create payment links and digital invoices in USD Coin (USDC) and Tether (USDT), allowing clients to pay instantly on-chain, 24/7. Users can connect their existing self-custodial wallets to the Morph Payments dashboard and generate instant invoices and links for their clients.
The platform's non-custodial design eliminates counterparty risk, meaning funds are never locked or frozen while waiting for an intermediary to clear liquidity.
