Morpho Delegating Mini App Management to Featherlend Amidst Decentralization Push
Morpho, the decentralized lending protocol, is handing over its Mini App to Featherlend in a move that demonstrates the benefits of decentralization. The Mini App has grown significantly since its launch in 2025, with 2.2 million users and $100M+ in deposits.
The transition means that Featherlend will take over front-end operations, branding, infrastructure maintenance, user support, and curatorial coordination for the Mini App within World App. However, the underlying smart contracts will remain unchanged.
A governance proposal tagged MIP 132 is seeking a grant of $50,000 in MORPHO tokens to facilitate the handover and provide operational support for Featherlend for a year.
Morpho's decision to decentralize its Mini App is not new, as it previously transferred operations of its Lite app to Feather. This move allows Morpho to focus on what it does best: building and maintaining the protocol layer.
