Morpho Whale Activity Surges as 4.35 Million Tokens Leave Exchanges
The Morpho token has experienced a surge in whale activity, with 68 transactions worth over $100,000 taking place on a single day. This marks the highest count since October 2, 2025.
This sudden burst of large transactions is accompanied by new wallet creation, with 337 new MORPHO wallets created in one day - the strongest growth since March 15, 2026. This indicates that larger holders are repositioning quickly rather than waiting on the sidelines.
The network growth climbed alongside the transaction count, suggesting heavier activity from big players paired with broader interest from new addresses.
In addition to this whale activity, a large chunk of MORPHO tokens is leaving exchanges. A total of 4.35 million MORPHO left exchanges in a single day, marking the largest outflow since February 4, 2026. This points to lower immediate sell pressure in the near term.
The recent surge in whale activity and exchange outflows can be attributed to several catalysts. Upbit added MORPHO trading against the Korean won on July 25, while Morpho Midnight launched fixed-rate cbBTC and USDC lending on Base.
