Most Americans Disapprove of Trump's $1.4 Billion Crypto Earnings

Share

A recent poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos found that most Americans disapprove of President Donald Trump's crypto profits, which totaled over $1.4 billion last year.

The survey, which covered 1,166 US adults between August 14 and August 17, revealed that 63% of respondents believed the family's digital asset earnings were improper.

Only 32% defended the family's crypto profits, with a significant difference in opinions between Republicans and Democrats. Among Republicans, 69% thought it was appropriate to earn $1.4 billion from crypto ventures, compared to 27% who did not.

The White House has repeatedly dismissed criticism of Trump's business dealings, stating that independent financial institutions manage his investments and that there are no conflicts of interest. However, Congressional pressure has grown, with Senate Democrats requesting committee hearings into the national security implications of the President's crypto holdings.
