Most Americans Oppose Trump Family's Crypto Profits
A Reuters/Ipsos poll has found that most Americans believe President Donald Trump and his family crossed an ethical line by profiting from cryptocurrency since he returned to the White House.
The survey, which was conducted between August 14 and 17, found that 63% of respondents considered it inappropriate for the Trump family to have profited from crypto the way they have, while 32% called it appropriate.
A larger share, 69%, said they believe the president's private business interests are shaping his decisions in office. This group included two-thirds of independents and nine in 10 Democrats.
The most striking number cut across party lines, with roughly half of Trump's fellow Republicans saying they think he lets his business interests influence his decisions.
