Mow Sees Parallel Between Internet and Bitcoin Adoption by Nation-States
Samson Mow, CEO of JAN3, has released his opening letter for the upcoming Bitcoin Nation-State Adoption Report 2025. In it, he draws a parallel between the governments' foresight in investing in internet development during the latter half of the 20th century and current trends in nation-state adoption of Bitcoin.
Mow also referenced how several governments recognized the transformative potential of the internet and invested in its growth, mirroring the increasing interest in Bitcoin by nation-states. This comparison highlights the significant role that governments may play in shaping the future of digital currencies.
As a reminder, Mow has previously expressed concerns about BIP110 supporters potentially exposing Bitcoin to a 1% attack, citing possible network vulnerabilities in his analysis of Bitcoin protocol changes. He has also questioned the stability of USDC and CRCL, pointing out Coinbase's key role in backing OUSD and USDC.
