MSTR Analyst Sees Triple-Digit Upside as Bitcoin Price Recovers
MicroStrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) has seen its stock value plummet by 56.41% over the past 12 months, while the S&P 500 posted an 18.65% gain during the same period. The company's pivot to holding a massive amount of Bitcoin (BTC) on its balance sheet has taken a toll on its financials.
The stock currently trades at $142.80, well below the average Wall Street price target of $225.93, representing approximately 58% implied upside from current levels. Benchmark Company analyst Mark Palmer stands out with a Buy rating and a $435 price target, which would require the stock to more than triple from its current price.
Palmer's thesis centers on Bitcoin yield accretion through low-cost debt and above-NAV equity issuance, as well as institutional demand driving a structural premium to net asset value. However, skeptics remain concerned about the company's $6.7 billion in convertible debt and $400.7 million in quarterly preferred dividends.
