MSTR Stocks Slip on Softer Bitcoin Prices
Strategy Inc.'s (MSTR) stock price has dropped by 3.1% today, and analysts point to a combination of softer Bitcoin prices and no new accumulation catalyst as the likely drivers.
The company's most recent filing with the SEC shows that it did not sell shares through its at-the-market program between August 31 and September 7, nor did it purchase or sell any BTC. The same report states that Strategy held approximately 845,050 Bitcoin as of September 7, acquired for roughly $63.73 billion at an average cost of around $75,412 per coin.
Bitcoin itself is trading around $78,400 and down about 0.8%, which affects Strategy's equity due to its heavy tie to the value and sentiment surrounding its Bitcoin treasury.
