MSTR Surpasses BTC Rally as Strategy Posts $3B Unrealized Gains
Michael Saylor's Strategy, a company focused on accumulating Bitcoin, has seen its common stock, MSTR, quietly outperforming the cryptocurrency's recent rally. The price of BTC briefly reached $81,000 in mid-August, marking a two-week recovery from near $60,000 lows.
MSTR shares have climbed 37% over the same period, while Bitcoin gained around 22%. This marks a reversal for Strategy, which faced pressure earlier this summer due to declining Bitcoin prices and concerns about its financing model.
Strategy's treasury has returned to profit, with the value of its existing BTC holdings increasing by more than $3 billion. The company continues to hold 840,447 BTC, acquired at an average price of $75,385, now worth around $67 billion at current prices.
