MultiversX Upgrades with Supernova Hard Fork on September 10

The MultiversX network is set to undergo a hard fork called Supernova on September 10, 2026. This change will reduce block production time from six seconds to 600 milliseconds, improving transaction finality and speed.

For users with EGLD in their own wallets, there is no need to take action as the hard fork maintains backwards compatibility for addresses, private keys, and balances.

However, those holding EGLD on exchanges or staking should be aware that there will be a 24-minute network halt during which new transactions are not accepted. It's recommended to arrange withdrawals before this period or consider moving coins from exchanges into self-custody.
