Mysten Labs Co-Founder Builds Quantum-Safe Wallets for Under $10
Kostas Chalkias, co-founder and chief cryptographer at Mysten Labs, has been working on affordable quantum two-factor authentication (2FA) cards for Sui. He leased a factory to build these wallets at scale, targeting under $10 per card key and 1-2 seconds per NFC quantum signature.
This comes after the recent Coldcard firmware flaw that drained about $130 million in BTC since July 30. Chalkias referenced this incident as an added impetus to his mission, stating, 'What happened to Coldcard will NEVER happen to my people.'
The move aims to keep users safe from threats like quantum attacks, which can compromise even the most secure hardware wallets.
