Mysterious Whale Loads Up on Hyperliquid Tokens
A mysterious whale has added $29 million to its Hyperliquid (HYPE) token holdings, bringing its total stake to $252 million. The entity, known as 0x6436, purchased 343,000 HYPE tokens at the latest prices and staked them in the ecosystem.
The buying spree is part of a larger accumulation strategy that has unfolded over three phases. The whale initially acquired 1.28 million HYPE for $89 million at an average price of $70 per token. It then added another 1.62 million tokens for $133.8 million at roughly $82.40.
The entire position is now staked in the ecosystem, generating passive revenue for the holder. The whale's buying spree has been a major contributor to Hyperliquid's rise to become the world's 9th most valued cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
